Team Camp

Registration Procedures
The MSSU Team Camp will be limited to 10 teams.

Entry Fee: $900
Fee includes camp insurance. Each camper will receive a  t-shirt.

Each team should bring a minimum of 10 players and maximum of 15. There will be an additional $75 charge per additional player for teams with more than 15 players.

To ensure a slot: a non-refundable deposit of $450 per team will be due by May 1, 2010. No spaces will be held without a deposit. The balance is due the first morning that camp begins.

Varsity and Junior Varsity teams are invited to attend. Please know that any team that brings both JV and Varsity squads must have coaches for both squads. They also count as two different teams in regards to camp space/slots and availability.

TEAM CAMP: Total Team Instruction
The goal of the Missouri Southern State University Softball  TEAM Camp is to improve the overall play of teams in the area. Instructional sessions will include morning and afternoon camp sessions dedicated to mini-clinics and team activities.

The camp will cover all facets of the game. Special emphasis will be placed on HITTING. Campers will receive instruction on infield and outfield play, throwing/catching,  base running and team building techniques.

Individual instruction will be given to pitchers and catchers throughout the camp.

Typical Daily Camp Schedule
  8:45 am     Check in, Stretching
  9:00 am        Station Work
10:00 am        Station Work or Game
11:00 am        Station Work or Game
12:00 pm    Lunch (Brown bag)
  1:00 pm    Station Work or Game
  2:00 pm    Station Work or Game
  3:00 pm    Station Work or Game

Notes:
Stations consist of Hitting Circuits, Defensive Drills, Base Running, Etc.

HS Coaches will be active in Station Work and will coach their teams in the scrimmage games. Each team must have at least one HS coach with them at all times.

Camp will conclude each day  4 pm.

An Athletic Trainer will be on site.

Inclement Weather Policy: We reserve the right to change the format/schedule based on inclement weather. Every effort will be made to provide the full camp experience. Any day in which half of the schedule is completed will be considered a full camp day.

Each team will have a college player working with them as a camp counselor.

The $900 cost of team camp averages to $90 per camper for the first 10 this goes down even further if you bring up to 15. Camp includes 18 hours of instruction  so each camper will be paying $5 per hour.
